Welcome back to the Resolution Rescue Challenge!

Yesterday we had a blast talking about c-sections, mental health, sugar cravings, brain fog and skin rashes….and, of course, how they relate to stalled weight loss.

Today we’re going down another rabbit hole entirely, because you need to understand:

YOUR BODY WILL KEEP YOU FAT INSTEAD OF POISONING YOU.

And that’s a good thing! However, I don’t want to have to choose between being fat or being poisoned to death, and I don’t think you do, either….so let’s address the root cause and get rid of the poisons. Deal?

I work with many women who feel like stubborn weight gain and hormone imbalances are just a part of aging. (And to a certain extent that is true….)

But I’m going to suggest that perhaps the massive accumulation of toxins over the years is contributing to that weight gain and the hormone rollercoaster more than the years themselves, and that pesky weight gain is a symptom of something else that has gone wrong.

Are you following me? That ‘something else’ is the huge amount of synthetic fragrances and toxins we put in and on our bodies.

DAY 3: The ‘magic pill’

Welcome back to the Resolution Rescue Challenge!

How fun is it to learn about all the little-known reasons that weight loss is so elusive as we get older?!

The great news is that YOU CAN DO IT as soon as your body is supported in a few foundational ways before you even change your diet. (So cool.)

So far we’ve covered c-sections, mental health, sugar cravings, brain fog and skin rashes, sluggish liver function and hormone imbalances from environmental toxins….and, of course, how they contribute to stalled weight loss. Make sure to scroll up and watch those videos + do the DIY spit test!

Today we’re touching on a really basic nutritional need in the body that seems to go wrong more often than not.

This deficiency can SHOW UP AS:

EARLY SIGNS

  • Hunger

  • Fatigue

  • Anxiety

  • Irritability

  • Depression

  • Cravings

  • Cramps

  • Headaches

MATURE SIGNS

  • Heartburn

  • High Cholesterol

  • High Blood Pressure

  • Joint Pain / Back Pain

  • Colitis

  • Migraines

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Constipation

 

Do you know what that nutritional deficiency is?

Water.

Plain, old, water.

Notice I didn’t say water with fruity powder packets added, or hot brown water flavored with coffee grounds (although that’s my personal favorite), or fizzy chemical water called pop….

NOPE. JUST WATER.

And I bet that when it comes to this weight loss magic pill, you’re in one of 3 camps:

  1. I can’t drink as much water as I should because I would be peeing all day!

  2. I drink lots of fluids and I don’t feel thirsty…so I’m sure it’s fine.

  3. I drink so much water each day that everyone around me thinks I’m crazy!

Any one of those can stall your weight loss (along with those other serious symptoms I listed above) so this is one thing you’ve got to get right.

  1. Calculate the amount of H2O you need each day AND the diuretics you’re drinking

  2. Get out the sea salt and add a pinch!

DAY 4 - IS NETFLIX MAKING YOU FAT?

 
 
 
 
 

DAY 4: sleep > netflix

Welcome back to the Resolution Rescue Challenge!

You’re doing great! Isn’t it going to be WAY easier to meet your weight loss and health goals now that you’re figuring out how to help your body instead of fighting against it?

Well, today’s going to be HUGE for that.

When you get enough sleep, your body can supercharge weight loss.

The alternative, when you’re exhausted and battling insomnia (not being able to fall asleep or waking up in the middle of the night) makes weight loss much harder…so let’s make sure to address your sleep hygiene and set you up for success.

Can I give you another bit of good news?

Addressing your digestion (day 1 spit test) + removing environmental toxins (day 2 purge) + drinking enough water (day 3 ‘magic pill’) WILL ALL HELP YOU GET BETTER SLEEP.

Everything is connected.

So if sleep has been a struggle for you, you can rest easy (see what I did there?) knowing that it doesn’t have to continue to be a battle. Let’s get you some zzzz’s!

SLEEP HYGIENE 101:

  • Room temperature <67 degrees

  • DARKNESS (cover electronics)

  • Blue Light Curfew from electronics (No Netflix in bed. Ever.)

  • Blue-light blocking glasses worn all day if staring at a screen (this has been life changing for me!)

  • Create a wind-down routine that puts you in bed before your ‘second wind’ hits between 9-11pm

  • Bonus: 1 drop of Serenity essential oil blend on the pillow = zzzzzzz
